City 7s Stoke City visit

Our Year 2 children recently enjoyed a visit from two Stoke City representatives as they came to St Teresa’s to promote their City 7s scheme! The children all received a Stoke City shirt and promotional tickets to the Stoke vs. Southampton football match on 30th September. Lots of our children at St Teresa’s have applied for the tickets to watch the game and are excited for a Stoke win! Thank you Stoke City!

Girls’ FA Football Festival

Our Year 5/6 girls’ football team visited Northwood Stadium this week for a Girls’ Football Festival which was run by the FA. They took part in lots of workshops and coaching sessions, as well as playing in matches against other girls’ teams. They had a fantastic time and arrived back at school in full spirits and face paints! Well done to Macie who won a signed Manchester City shirt during one of the activities!

Sports Leaders 2016-2017

During the Autumn term, Year 6 elected our Sports Leaders for the upcoming year. Over the next half term, our Sports Leaders will be working with Miss Whitehurst to set up a child-led Sports Council, which will have a great focus within our school. Our Sports Council will be promoting healthy living, as well as running clubs for our younger children. They will meet regularly to discuss the priorities for our school and feedback to teachers. We are looking forward passing on their passion and enthusiasm to the rest of the school! Well done children.
