Uniform

It is the policy of the Governors that all children wear the uniform, which is as follows:

Standard Uniform
➢ School grey St Teresa’s V-neck jumper or cardigan with school trim.
➢ White school shirt (short or longed sleeve)
➢ School tie
➢ Grey skirt or pinafore (must be of just above the knee or knee length). Skort style
skirts/dresses are not permitted.
➢ Grey school trousers
➢ Sensible black shoes which can be polished. (No boots, trainers, canvas or suede
shoes, no mesh, material or coloured trim or soles.)
➢ Grey socks or tights

Summer Uniform – All Year Groups
➢ Blue and white checked gingham fabric style dress can be worn as an alternative to
the grey skirt/pinafore dress (must be of just above the knee or knee length). No
playsuits. White socks should be worn when wearing the summer dress.
➢ Grey knee length school shorts trousers can be worn as an alternative to long
trousers
Plain black, navy or white cycling shorts may be worn under skirts, pinafores and summer
dresses.

PE Uniform
Kit needs to be labelled.
➢ School PE polo t-shirt
➢ Navy blue PE shorts. PE shorts need to be of an appropriate length (just above the knee). No tight fitting shorts.

➢ Plain navy jogging bottoms or plain navy/black leggings during winter months.
➢ School PE hoodie
➢ Trainers, preferably black

Equipment
➢ Children must bring a water bottle to school, and only plain water is allowed.
➢ Mobile phones must not be brought into school without prior permission from the
Headteacher.
➢ Children in Year 6 (and Year 5 in Summer Term) who walk home, can bring a mobile
phone. This should be handed to the class teacher on arrival at school.
➢ Bags to carry belongings should be of a reasonable size, not large backpacks, as
space in the cloakrooms is limited.
➢ Please ensure that coats worn to school are suitable and maintain the standards that
we set (e.g., no denim garments).

Earrings, Jewellery and Make Up
➢ 1 pair of plain stud earrings can be worn (a single earring in each ear). These must be
removed on the days that your child has PE lessons, as plasters coverings are not
allowed.
➢ No other jewellery (necklaces, bracelets etc.) are permitted
➢ Children may wear an analogue watch, which must be removed for PE lessons. Smart
watches are not allowed for safeguarding reasons.
➢ No make-up, including nail varnish, should be worn.

We recommend that parents have ears pierced at the beginning of the summer holidays, so that piercings have sufficient time to heal.
