Music
Choir and orchestra perform at the Christmas Concerts and the Summer Musical Evening, the choir also take part in fundraising performances with our feeder secondary school SJF performing at their Summer Film Night and Christmas Carols for Cancer concerts with other feeder schools. Recorders take part in the Music School Recorder festival at the Vic Hall in the Spring term and the Y1/2 songbirds also at the Vic Hall. This year the theme for the orchestra is space - they are learning four pieces: Milky Way Whoosh, Super Space Swing, plus Dr Who and Star Wars, the choir are singing songs from around the world: Everywhere Around the World, Waltzing Matilda, Chanson D'Amour, Buona Notte, Loch Lomond and Suo Gann.
